The RRS shared this information in a statement released on X.com on Tuesday.According to the statement, “The suspects, who were employed by the same individual at a well-known estate in Ojodu, Ikeja, allegedly stole and sold the property while their employer was abroad on a trip in September 2024.”

The stolen items included five split air conditioners, a chest freezer, a pumping machine, a refrigerator, an inverter, and jewelry, all totaling an estimated value of N5.5 million.

Police investigations revealed that Folorunso was responsible for removing the items from their employer’s residence, while Mutairu helped locate buyers for the stolen goods.

Further findings indicated that Folorunso fled to Badagry following the crime, and efforts to persuade him to assist in recovering the stolen items were unsuccessful.

The suspects were ultimately arrested in the Badagry and Ishasi areas of Lagos State.
