FRSC Boss Shehu Mohammed Expresses Concern Over Rise in Fatal Road Accidents This September
Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, on Thursday, expressed deep concern over the alarming increase in fatal road crashes across the country this September. He emphasized the need for immediate action to address the growing number of accidents, which have claimed many lives.
Mohammed stressed that road safety is a shared responsibility, urging road users to adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations. He called for increased public awareness, stricter enforcement of road safety laws, and collaboration between relevant stakeholders to reduce these incidents.
As road accidents continue to surge, the FRSC is committed to deploying more personnel and resources to ensure safer roads for all Nigerians.
This call for action comes at a critical time, as September has witnessed an unusual spike in accidents. Road users are urged to drive with caution and responsibility, especially as the rainy season often leads to more hazardous driving conditions.
The FRSC has also reiterated its commitment to ongoing campaigns promoting safe driving habits and stricter penalties for offenders. Mohammed expressed hope that with the cooperation of all Nigerians, the situation will improve, and lives will be saved.
The recent rise in road crashes serves as a reminder that safety on the roads is paramount, and the FRSC remains dedicated to ensuring that the alarming trend is curbed swiftly.
