Nigerian Skit Maker Kamo State Celebrates Funke Akindele’s Unwavering Support During Wife’s Pregnancy and Childbirth

Nigerian skit maker and Nollywood actor, Kamo State, has publicly expressed deep gratitude to renowned actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, for her immense support during his wife’s pregnancy and delivery.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Kamo described Funke as “an angel in human form,” praising her for standing by his family through one of the most important moments of their lives.

According to Kamo, Funke was ready to fly his wife, Esther, to the United States for childbirth, but she learned about the pregnancy later than expected. Nonetheless, she took it upon herself to secure one of Lagos’s best doctors for Esther and covered all medical expenses.

He recalled how Funke stayed with him at the hospital, constantly checked on Esther—even when he didn’t answer her calls—and insisted her security and driver be on standby for emergencies, even at midnight.

“Your prayers, your care, your calls, and your presence were more than comforting—they were lifesaving,” he wrote, adding that she not only offered emotional and spiritual support but is also sponsoring the upcoming christening of their baby, including food, outfits, and overall arrangements.

Kamo concluded the post by praying for God’s blessings upon Funke Akindele, vowing to spend his life repaying her overwhelming kindness.
