Gaise Baba Sets YouTube Ablaze As ‘No Turning Back II’ Becomes Nigeria’s No. 1 Music Video Of 2025
According to Ireporter Online, Gaise Baba’s gospel hit “No Turning Back II”, featuring Lawrence Oyor, has clinched the title of Nigeria’s most-streamed YouTube music video of 2025, following the release of YouTube’s annual Year-in-Review report.
The platform’s review highlights the songs, creators and entertainment content that drew the highest engagement from Nigerian audiences throughout the year. Gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and filmmaker-turned-creator Omoni Oboli emerged as standout figures, according to insights shared by YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo.
Released in mid-May, “No Turning Back II” quickly captured nationwide attention, surpassing 41 million views in just six months and generating extensive interaction across social media platforms.
The music video topped a competitive list that included major releases from Shallipopi, Davido, Olamide, Asake, Rema, and Wizkid.
In the creators’ category, Omoni Oboli secured the No. 1 position on YouTube Nigeria’s 2025 creator rankings. Her channel, Omoni Oboli TV, continued to grow significantly on the strength of her Nollywood-style storytelling, lifestyle features, and behind-the-scenes content that resonate deeply with viewers across the country.
Other popular creators recognized in the 2025 review include Ibrahim Yekini (Itelediconstudio), Uchenna Mbunabo, Aminu Saira, Maurice Sam, Ruth Kadiri, Uche Montana, Sonia Uche, Brain Jotter, and established entertainment hub ApataTV Plus.
