Speaking during an official visit to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna on Friday, General Musa underscored that any officer found guilty of harming innocent Nigerians under any guise would face strict consequences.

“The Armed Forces of Nigeria exists to protect the sovereignty and people of this great nation,” he declared. “Our responsibility is to shield the nation from threats, not to endanger the lives of innocent people.”

During the visit, the CDS inaugurated several key projects designed to improve cadets’ training and welfare. Among these were an emergency and trauma center and a new operational and basic military training complex.

Addressing cadets, General Musa reminded them of the enormous responsibilities ahead, urging them to prepare for challenging assignments in service to the nation.

“You may be deployed to difficult terrains, but always remember your mission: to defend Nigeria at all costs,” he said.

He also issued a caution against officers prioritizing personal interests over their national duty, stressing the need for commitment and professionalism in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges.
