“Accountability and results-oriented governance are the main priorities of my administration,” he stated. “I have directed all commissioners to submit a detailed report of the accomplishments and progress of their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government within one week.”

He added, “This initiative is essential for assessing our collective achievements and ensuring we remain aligned with the promises and mandate entrusted to us by our constituents.”

In a separate development, during Wednesday’s executive council meeting, the Governor approved the renaming of the Secondary Education Board to the Senior Secondary Education Board (SSEB). In September, he had canceled a recruitment exercise conducted by the Secondary Education Board due to allegations of bias in the process.

Governor Otu reiterated his commitment to workers’ welfare, including the implementation of the ₦70,000 minimum wage, and outlined plans for distributing rice across all 196 wards to support the community during the upcoming holiday season.
