Governorship Tribunals: List Of States Won By APC, PDP And LP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured victories in ten states following the judgments delivered by various election petition tribunals in relation to the March 18 governorship elections.

The states won by the APC are Gombe, Cross River, Benue, Lagos, Kano, Ogun, Ebonyi, Kaduna, Kebbi, and Sokoto.

In Gombe, the tribunal affirmed Muhammadu Yahaya’s re-election as the state governor.

In Cross River, the tribunal in Calabar dismissed Prof. Sandy Onor’s petition against Senator Bassey Otu’s victory as governor, and Peter Odey as deputy governor, citing a lack of merit in the petitioner’s case.

In Benue, the state election petition tribunal dismissed the petition filed by PDP candidate, Titus Uba, against the election of Hyacinth Alia of the APC.

The Lagos governorship election tribunal upheld Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s victory and dismissed petitions from Olajide Adediran and Rhodes-Vivour.

In Kano, the tribunal ruled in favor of APC’s Nasiru Gawuna as the winner of the March 18 poll.

In Ogun, the governorship election petition tribunal affirmed Governor Dapo Abiodun’s victory, dismissing petitions by PDP’s Ladi Adebutu.

In Ebonyi, the governorship election tribunal dismissed the petition filed by Bernard Odoh of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, affirming Francis Nwifuru as governor.

In Kaduna, the governorship election petition tribunal upheld the victory of Uba Sani as the governor, ruling against the PDP and its candidate, Isah Ashiru.

In Sokoto, the tribunal affirmed Ahmed Aliyu of the APC as the governor.

In Kebbi, the tribunal reaffirmed Nasir Idris as the duly elected governor of the state, dismissing the PDP’s challenge.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured victories in Plateau, Zamfara, Bauchi, Enugu, Nasarawa, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Taraba, Oyo, Adamawa, and Rivers.

The Plateau State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal recently confirmed Caleb Mutfwang as the duly elected governor of the state.

In Zamfara, the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Sokoto affirmed Dauda Lawal of the PDP as the governor.

The Bauchi State tribunal upheld Bala Mohammed’s election as governor, while in Enugu State, a similar judgment supported the election of Peter Mbah of the PDP.

In Nasarawa, the tribunal annulled the election of Governor Sule of the APC and declared David Ombugadu of the PDP as the rightful winner.

Sheriff Oborevwori of the PDP’s election in Delta was upheld, and in Akwa Ibom, a petition challenging the election of Pastor Umoh Eno of the PDP, brought by the APC’s Akanimo Udofia, was dismissed.

The Taraba State tribunal affirmed Agbu Kefas as the governor, dismissing the petition filed by the New Nigerian Peoples Party and its candidate, Prof Sani Yahaya.

In Oyo State, the tribunal affirmed Seyi Makinde as governor, and in Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri of the PDP was upheld as governor.

The Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja dismissed petitions seeking to nullify the election of Governor Similayi Fubara of Rivers State.

For Labour Party, In Abia, the state election tribunal affirmed the election of Governor Alex Otti, dismissing petitions from the PDP, APC, and the Young Progressives Party’s candidates.
