Raising the motion, Hon. Tobun Abiodun (Epe I) applauded Tinubu’s policies, stating they’ve produced tangible results in under two years. He pointed out that the country’s GDP has grown under Tinubu’s economic guidance, with the naira gaining strength and fuel scarcity becoming a thing of the past.
“The policies are yielding positive outcomes, with an increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The naira’s value is steadily improving, and fuel scarcity has been resolved. We must encourage the federal government to continue on this positive path,” Tobun stated.
Majority Leader Hon. Adewale Temitope (Ifako-Ijaiye I) noted Tinubu’s preparedness for leadership, emphasizing his administration’s operational refineries, which have reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). He described Tinubu as a true democrat, crediting him for strengthening the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at both state and national levels.
Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu (Etim Osa II) commended Tinubu’s efforts in tackling insecurity and curbing inflation, while Hon. Aro Moshood (Ikorodu II) praised the upward revision of the minimum wage, foreign investments exceeding $40 million, and measures to cushion the effects of subsidy removal.
Speaker Mojisola Meranda expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to fulfill the aspirations of Nigerians.
“I believe President Tinubu will lead us to the Promised Land. While the journey began with challenges, the results are now visible. His investments in security are paying off, with a noticeable decline in insecurity,” she said.
Meranda instructed the acting Clerk of the House, Abubakar Taiwo Ottun, to send a commendation letter to President Tinubu, recognizing the positive impact of his policies.
