According to IReporter Online, Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication and Media to President Bola Tinubu, has criticized the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, alleging that he consistently expresses dissatisfaction whenever Nigeria records progress under the current administration.

Bwala made the remarks in a post shared on X, where he suggested that Obi often reacts negatively to developments in the country despite his aspiration to lead it in the future. He questioned why improvements in governance would trigger criticism from the former Anambra State governor.

The presidential aide also accused Obi of shifting positions on key national issues. He claimed that before the 2023 general elections, Obi had expressed support for policies such as fuel subsidy removal, state policing, and a unified foreign exchange system, but now appears to be taking opposing stances following their implementation by the current government.

In his post, Bwala further wrote that Nigeria’s progress appears to frustrate Obi, adding that the opposition figure seems inconsistent in his policy positions. He also suggested that Obi’s current stance contradicts his earlier public statements on national reforms.
