Drama Breaks Out As Ebere Confronts Mr Ibu’s Wife Over Public Begging

According to Ireporter Online, the controversy began after a video shared by influencer King Mitchy on Wednesday showed Stella appealing to the public for support, stating that she was unable to meet her rent obligations and her children’s school fees.

Reacting to the viral footage, Tenkobo, who described himself as a close associate and family friend of the late actor, accused Stella of exploiting Mr Ibu’s name to solicit funds from the public. He further alleged that certain members of the family had disposed of some of the late actor’s investments, including houses and landed properties, and called for accountability regarding the proceeds.

He also questioned Stella’s source of livelihood following her husband’s death, suggesting that being the wife of a renowned actor should not prevent her from engaging in meaningful work.

Providing further context, Tenkobo claimed he had spoken with members of the Okafor family, including Mr Ibu’s son, during which concerns were raised about the ongoing dispute. He maintained that his relationship with the late actor evolved over the years from professional acquaintance to close friendship.

He alleged that the financial appeal was not the first of its kind and recalled previous similar instances even while Mr Ibu was still alive. He also disputed claims regarding the number of Mr Ibu’s children and questioned the handling of his properties after his passing.

Tenkobo insisted that the late actor was financially responsible during his lifetime and had made significant investments, urging the public not to assume that he left no assets behind. He, however, raised concerns over what became of the actor’s properties and the proceeds from their alleged sale, calling for transparency within the family.

He concluded that while public assistance remains a personal choice, it should not be based on the belief that the late actor failed to plan or invest during his lifetime.
