Focus on Bilateral Cooperation

The discussions between President Tinubu and Wang Yi are set to cover the review of agreements reached during the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit in Beijing. Critical sectors such as the economy, politics, and oil and gas will be prioritized on the agenda.

Following the meeting, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, are expected to address the media at a joint press briefing.

High-Level Delegation in Attendance

Dignitaries at the meeting included Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Information, Idris Mohammed; and Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.

Nigeria-China Diplomatic Ties

Ambassador Tuggar emphasized the long-standing relationship between Nigeria and China, built on mutual respect and collaboration.
