“Hope For Imo: Amadi Vows Jobs, Restored Security, And Rebirth Of Education At Women’s Rally”

In a deeply spiritual and emotional moment of maternal connection, According to iReporter Online, Imo women gathered to receive Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi, PhD, their son, during the annual August Meeting at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ubomiri; Methodist Church of Nigeria, MCC Road; and Trinity Anglican Church, Obazu Mbieri, all in Mbaitoli LGA.

Amadi used the occasion to renew his promise to restore the lost glory of Imo State, reinforcing his commitment to responsive and people-centered leadership.

According to iReporter Online, Amadi praised the resilience, forthrightness, and industrious spirit of women—especially mothers—who, he recalled, were pivotal in rebuilding Igboland after the civil war.

Addressing a vibrant crowd at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, he pledged to partner with women in creating an egalitarian and prosperous Imo.

“Mothers are the major victims of failed leadership,” he said, “and their voices must shape the foundation of a new Imo.” He supported their community projects with a ₦3 million donation.

At the Methodist Church, Amadi emphasized the historic role of the church in civilizing and developing Imo, urging women and clergy alike to advocate for credible, educated, and trustworthy leaders. He donated another ₦10 million to the church and ₦3 million to the women’s fellowship.

According to iReporter Online, he also condemned the weaponization of poverty by self-serving politicians, calling for a joint effort by the church and community to restore dignity and order.

Later, at Trinity Anglican Church, Obazu Mbieri, Amadi addressed women who braved the rain to hear his vision for a new Imo. He thanked them for their efforts in grassroots development and encouraged them to stand firm despite the challenges of insecurity, failed infrastructure, and poverty.

He outlined his agenda to create jobs, revive industries, and restore confidence in public education and healthcare. He made another ₦3 million donation to support the women’s development initiatives, receiving heartfelt prayers and blessings in return.

According to iReporter Online, Amadi was accompanied by a large entourage of leaders and supporters under The Mazi Organization (TMO), including Chief Henry Onwukwe (Apitti), Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo (OZB), Hon. Uche Ogbuagu, and several others.
