The situation is further compounded by a recent High Court judgment from Abuja that invalidated the delegates list which saw Ighodalo emerge as the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate.

Despite the party’s intention to appeal the judgment, the internal crisis within the PDP is far from over. Insiders reveal that Ighodalo has been avoiding Obaseki’s calls, signaling a severe breakdown in their relationship. This rift is reportedly rooted in Obaseki’s alleged attempts to derail Ighodalo’s campaign, causing a significant setback for the PDP.
