“Ignorance At Its Peak!” – Farouq Aliyu Blasts Peter Obi’s One-Term Presidency Vow
Former House of Representatives Minority Leader, Farouq Aliyu, has taken a swipe at Peter Obi’s recent one-term presidency pledge, dismissing it as a product of inexperience and political naivety, ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE.
Aliyu argued that Obi’s promise to serve only a single term if elected in 2027 lacks substance and is rooted in ignorance about national governance dynamics.
“Peter Obi is talking out of ignorance,” Aliyu stated bluntly, ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE. “When you govern a relatively small state, the challenges and scope are entirely different from managing an entire country.
It’s easy to make such pledges when you don’t fully grasp the complexities of federal leadership.”
He described Obi’s statement as mere political rhetoric designed to sway public opinion, adding that real governance requires more than lofty promises.
Speaking further on the emerging opposition coalition, Aliyu said that although the coalition comprises respected figures, they pose no real threat to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“We admire them as Nigerian leaders, no doubt. But do they intimidate us? Not in the slightest,” he said.
“All of them are after us, so we’ll spread our political tentacles to pour sand in their garri,” he added with a grin.
ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE, Aliyu’s comments have sparked heated reactions online, with some interpreting them as reflective of the APC’s confidence heading into the 2027 elections.
