I’ll Be Happy To Die Without Talking To Basketmouth, Julius Agwu – AY Makun

AY Makun, the popular comic actor, has once again addressed his feud with fellow comedians Basketmouth and Julius Agwu, both of whom are among the most famous stand-up comedians in Nigeria.

In March, AY revealed that his misunderstanding with Basketmouth started over money he had yet to receive for a show he anchored for him. In response, Basketmouth disputed AY’s account of the incident, calling it “lies.”

Similarly, AY and Agwu recently clashed over alleged defamation.

During his appearance on the Teju Babyface show, AY expressed that he would be content if he never reconciled with Basketmouth and Agwu, referring to them as his “bros” or senior colleagues in the comedy industry.

He recounted his attempts to mend his relationships with them but eventually realized that friendship cannot be forced. Despite trying to make amends, he understood that it was not working out.

AY mentioned an incident during his last stand-up comedy show when he made an effort to publicly address Basketmouth as his friend. However, the following morning, the situation erupted again, with denials and disagreements being voiced.

Now, AY has decided not to push for reconciliation anymore. He asserted that if he were to pass away without sitting down with either of them to say “hello” or “hi,” he would be content with that decision.
