due to a lack of vision.

Speaking on the State Affairs podcast hosted by veteran journalist Edmund Obilo, Ojudu explained, “I believe Buhari wasn’t a visionary. While I greatly admired him during his first term, particularly his integrity and lifestyle, I came to realize that vision was lacking. Although he is a patriot and incorruptible, these qualities alone aren’t enough for a leader. A good leader needs a clear vision, which is what made leaders like Awolowo stand out.”

Ojudu’s comments come after Osinbajo’s failed bid for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket in 2022, where he lost to Bola Tinubu, the eventual winner.

Meanwhile, former presidential spokesman Garba Shehu addressed recent reports suggesting the revocation of a land plot belonging to Buhari by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). Shehu clarified that the plot was allocated to the Muhammadu Buhari Foundation, not Buhari personally, and it was acquired legally by Buhari’s associates.

He also mentioned that the Foundation faced issues with the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) due to an unusually high certificate of occupancy fee, which may have contributed to the land revocation, though the reasons for the action remain unclear.
