The gathering, which included traditional rulers and officials from Isoko South, was aimed at addressing key governance issues and enhancing community development.

Disappointed by the chairman’s no-show, Onyeme emphasized, “There is no valid excuse for his absence. This meeting, convened by the Governor, is crucial for the progress of our people and takes priority over other engagements.”

He further instructed the chairman’s representative, Mr. Osuofa Eloho, to ensure an immediate meeting between the chairman and himself.

Onyeme stressed the significance of leadership at all levels and urged local government leaders to prioritize tangible progress. He declared, “Any leader—be it a king, chairman, or governor—who fails to advance their people’s welfare has failed their duties.”

Reiterating his commitment to the vision of the state’s leadership, Onyeme called on all local government chairmen to remain aligned with the Governor’s agenda and focus on inclusive, people-centered governance.

At the meeting, prominent figures such as the Ovie of Okpe Isoko, HRM Agbabe Felix; the Odiologbo of Ibrede, HRM Austin Oghaiyabor; and other key political and traditional leaders were in attendance.
