Makinde To Nigerian Youths: Get Involved In Politics Or Suffer The Consequences

In his speech on the theme “Faith, Leadership, and Governance: Preparing the Next Generation for Ethical Leadership in Nigeria,” Makinde emphasized the need for more ethical individuals to engage in governance to steer the country in the right direction.

He pointed out that the country would continue to suffer from unethical governance if more responsible individuals did not step into politics. “As long as good people avoid politics, the void will be filled by unethical leaders,” he warned. “Nature does not allow a vacuum.”

Governor Makinde encouraged the youth to look up to ethical leaders, emulate their actions, and surround themselves with wise counsel. He also stressed that true leadership is about responsibility to the wider community, and promised that Oyo State would always prioritize the welfare of its people.
