Man gives Intriguing story of how a guy he ‘saved’ from being lynched stole his phone

A Nigerian man simply known as Steph has shared a wild experience he had in Lagos state involving a man who thanked him for reportedly coming to his rescue.
He narrated how the guy prostrated for him and claimed that he had saved him from being lynched sometime in the past.
According to Steph, the guy tried to refresh his memory by demonstrating how a mob wanted to beat him by raising his leg.
He then re-enacted the scene by raising Steph’s leg, but after the encounter, he reached home only to realise that his phone was gone.
”This guy prostrated in front of me and said thank you, bros. I said for what and he said when they wanted to beat me up the other day and they carried my leg like this ( so he lifted my leg to show me) you were the one that begged for me. When I got home, my phone was missing”, he tweeted.
Others also shared their experiences after reading his post;
Netizens shared similar experiences and tips on how to avoid falling victim while some laughed over his story.
@FemOladoyin said; Something like that happened to me in 2017, luckily for me one Hausa man that was passing bye that time notice it and told me before the guy keke nape. The guy brought out a knife to attack me but many people were coming that time because it was Friday so Muslims are going for …..
@phoenixafuye; Lool, standard format since I was like 2 years old. The person holds you for Lagos, you hold his hand.
When you don counts your property finish, you release the hand.

@Cfdftgcx; this guy hit me then he immediately hugged me to apologise for hitting me and told me he was drunk, seconds later, I felt an emptiness in my pocket, my phone was gone and this guy was nowhere to be found
@gbolaof2fams; I just got off a car on carter bridge heading to idumota. This guy from nowhere just hugs me tightly and whispers to my ear “I don carry you” in Yoruba.
In my mind, I am like the blood of Jesus because I was scared after several steps I notice my pocket was empty.
I could not cry.
