Basketball legend Michael Jordan headlined an unforgettable night of tributes for Pep Guardiola as Manchester City supporters and sporting icons gathered to celebrate the end of the Spaniard’s remarkable era at the club.

Reports indicate that nearly 19,000 fans packed the Co-op Live arena in Manchester to honour Guardiola after he confirmed his departure from Manchester City following a trophy-laden decade that transformed the club into one of Europe’s dominant forces.

The emotional celebration reached another level when Jordan appeared on the arena’s giant screen with a heartfelt message for Guardiola, praising the manager for an extraordinary career and jokingly wishing him luck on the golf course during retirement. His surprise appearance sparked loud cheers and excitement among supporters.

The farewell event also featured several football personalities and close associates of Guardiola, turning the night into a historic celebration of one of football’s most successful managerial reigns.

Former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany received a thunderous reception after making a surprise appearance. The current FC Bayern Munich manager embraced Guardiola on stage as fans erupted into chants across the arena.
