Military Invades Ebonyi Community In Search Of IPOB/ESN Camp
The military stormed Obeagu community in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State in commando style on Monday morning in search of pro-separatists. According to locals, the troops stormed the community around 5 a.m., shooting sporadically.
There were claims that the troops set fire to some houses, but these could not be independently verified.

The soldiers were said to have arrived in the community with more than ten Hilux vehicles and seven armored tanks, as well as more than 100 military personnel.
They were said to have shot sporadically, causing a woman to be injured by a stray bullet. Fortunately, no one was killed as a result of the incident.
“All the Eha-Amufu people that ran to our community after herdsmen sacked them are also on the run with residents,” a source in the area said.
Another resident, Ogbuabor Sunday said they were at the Catholic church in the area for morning mass when the soldiers invaded the community in a commando style.
The first attack occurred on March 29, 2021, killing 21 people, while the second occurred on October 13, 2022, killing one person.Major Jonathan Unuakhalu, spokesperson for the Nigerian Army’s 82 Division Enugu, could not be reached.
