In my adulthood, I have never seen two adults, prominent Nigerians and politicians, laugh out as loud as this. It was so soothing to my soul that I said it was indeed worth the publication.

So recently, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, was on an inspection tour following the resumption of construction on the failed Benin Abuja road, particularly the Ekpoma axis of the express road, which had become an eyesore due to its impassability and unusable condition.

After much disappointment from the former contractors who took taxpayers’ money and resorted to perpetual excuses, leaving the road to rot away, it would make one weep at the sight of the ever-busy road, which is now a shadow of its former self

Well, construction has begun with BUA leading the initiative by taking over the job from the failed contractors with their so-called big names.

Our lens captured this scene when Adams Oshiomhole and the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, were caught laughing out so loud that one would wonder what they were saying.

Well, I would tell you guys since una and aproko na 5 and 6. As Umahi and the contractors turned to take a seat after over 5 hours of supervision, Oshiomhole tapped Momoh and said,

Oshiomhole: Shey I tell you say e go work, we finally get dem make dem run this road after over 12 years of abandonment.

Momoh: Ohboy, you and Akpakomiza (referring to APC gubernatorial candidate) worry for senate o, shuo everyday shout make dem do road.

Oshiomhole: You wey dey disturb president everyday niko? Momoh you too do this one oh. So tay you drag Umahi till e respond.

Momoh: Na my fault when our people dey suffer. Na so we go dey? “Alhamdulillah” to God be the glory, our people can now smile.

Oshiomhole: Nigerians are the beneficiaries, and we give all glory to God, but we must hail Baba Tinubu and the exceptional Minister Umahi—they really went above and beyond.
