My Finances Were A Mess For Years” – Uzor Arukwe Shares His Story

Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has opened up about a challenging phase of his life, revealing that he faced serious financial difficulties shortly after getting married.

In an interview with Tope Olowoniyan, the actor disclosed that he tied the knot in August but lost his job just a few months later in November, leaving him without a stable source of income.

According to the actor, the sudden loss of employment had a major impact on his finances and created a period of uncertainty as he struggled to manage family responsibilities and personal expenses.

He further revealed that the situation became more difficult after he was involved in a car accident during the same period, adding more financial strain to an already challenging situation.

Uzor explained that the combination of unemployment, unexpected expenses, annual rent obligations and family commitments forced him to become more cautious with his spending habits.

He noted that while many people celebrated during the festive season, he often had to focus on planning and saving because his rent was due in January and the arrival of his children brought additional responsibilities, including school expenses.

The actor described that period as one of the most financially stressful times of his life, adding that only a close circle of friends were aware of the struggles he was facing.

Uzor Arukwe is married to Barbara Arukwe, and the couple has two daughters.
