Why I Allowed Priscilla’s Father At Her Wedding — Iyabo Ojo Speaks

According to reports, Priscilla Ojo got married in April 2025, with celebrations held across Lagos and Tanzania.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, Iyabo revealed that she considered the importance of having both parents present for their daughter’s special occasion despite the challenges between her and her ex-husband.

The actress explained that her belief in ancestral patterns influenced her decision, noting that she did not want the experiences of previous generations or the difficulties from her own marriage to affect her children’s future.

Iyabo disclosed that her parents were separated and said she had made a personal commitment that her children would not repeat the same experiences.

She stressed that the disagreement between her and her former husband was separate from their daughter, adding that he had not offended Priscilla and remained an important figure in her life.

The mother of two stated that she had made sacrifices to support her daughter’s success and happiness, particularly in her marriage, and believed her father’s presence at the wedding was appropriate because he was alive and deserved to share the moment.

“Her father is not dead; he is alive, so why can’t he be there? He didn’t wrong her. Whatever happened between him and me has nothing to do with her,” Iyabo said.

The actress added that she was determined to create a different path for her children and ensure that past family challenges did not define their future.
