The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, disclosed this development through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Aishetu Ndayako. The decision follows the declaration by the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar, that the Eid-El-Fitr celebration in Nigeria will occur on Wednesday, April 10th, as the new crescent was not sighted on Monday night.
