Nigerians React As Police Arrest Popular Musician Portable Over Unpaid-Debt (Full Details)

According to reports, Portable was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday for his alleged refusal to pay a debt incurred from the purchase of a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.
The controversial singer had reportedly paid only N13 million after purchasing the N27 million vehicle, leaving a balance of N14 million unpaid.
The car dealer then reported the matter to the police, resulting in Portable’s arrest.
When contacted by Ireporteronline, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, saying, “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
Nigerians have taken to social media to express their views on the matter, with many calling for transparency and urging the singer to fulfill his financial obligations.
