During the signing ceremony, attended by members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of the Farmer-Herders Board in preventing conflicts and enhancing security, citing successful models from states like Jigawa.

Among the bills signed into law is the Access to Basic Education bill, aimed at increasing school enrollment in the state.

Governor Mohammed also signed into law the bill to repeal the Sa’adu Zungur University Law 2022, reenacted the Bauchi State Establishment Law 2010, and the law to repeal the Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Law 2012.

Other laws signed include the Rural Access Road Authority 2024 and the law to establish the Border Communities Development Agency.

These new laws aim to address various issues, including school enrollment, rural infrastructure, and development in border communities.
