Nkechi Blessing Breaks Silence: “Celebrity Life Is Not For Me”

According to Ireporter Online, controversial Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has expressed frustration over the constant intrusion into her private life, questioning why people freely attack her and still expect her to remain silent.

In a post shared via Instagram on Monday, the actress lashed out at online trolls who mocked her over her marital status. She emphasized that despite her fame, she remains human and not immune to criticism. Nkechi pointed out that her large following on social media does not elevate her to the status of a demigod, stressing that she has emotions like everyone else.

“Is it okay for someone to come at you unprovoked? Marriage shame you, child shame you, just like that, because you are a so-called celebrity. I’m not a celebrity, I’m human. I have blood running through my veins,” she wrote.

She further explained that her 2.6 million Instagram followers do not define her existence, adding that social media accounts can be taken down at any time. According to her, responding to trolls gives her a sense of balance because people often overlook the insults directed at her while focusing only on her reactions.

The actress also revealed a message from a troll who branded her “useless” and accused her of moving from one man to another instead of settling down in marriage or raising children. Nkechi said she wasted no time in replying to the critic, stressing that anyone who dishes insults should be prepared to receive the same energy in return.

“I’m not a celebrity. You bring rubbish to me, I give you rubbish back,” she added.
