NSCDC Officer Collapses, D!es During Ramadan Palliative Distribution In Kano
According to reports, an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) tragically lost his life during the distribution of Ramadan and Sallah palliatives in Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State. The incident took place on Friday during a programme organised by the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa.
In a statement, Doguwa alleged that the officer was killed after hoodlums attempted to disrupt the distribution of relief materials. He described the incident as tragic and expressed condolences to the officer’s family, the NSCDC, and residents of Tudun Wada. “May Allah grant him mercy and forgiveness,” the lawmaker said.
Doguwa called on security agencies to carry out a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. He further urged authorities to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of the attack.
The lawmaker also warned against the circulation of false information linking him directly to the incident, stating that legal action would be taken to protect his reputation and that of his constituents. He prayed for the repose of the officer’s soul and encouraged residents to remain vigilant during public gatherings.
Doguwa confirmed that he personally supervised the distribution of food items and other support materials as part of the Ramadan and Sallah outreach programme.
