Obidients Disappointed As CNN Postpones Peter Obi’s Interview Indefinitely

The Cable News Network (CNN) has postponed indefinitely the much-awaited interview with a Nigerian Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Obi, Presidential candidate of the lowly Labour Party in Nigeria’s next year’s presidential election, has been gaining momentum on social media, metamorphosing to off-social media or physical campaign.

Obi has been in the US meeting with Nigerians in Diaspora, seeking to gain their support for his presidential ambition.

His interview with CNN’s Zane Asher, a Nigerian-born broadcaster, was supposed to take place on September 3, but was postponed to September 6, 2022.

But today, the interview which is supposed to be 5.00pm did not come up as CNN postponed it indefinitely without announcing a new date.

Rather, a documentary on new British Prime Minister, Liz Truss was aired.

Obi’s supporters are seriously disappointed at the no-show, as they have been advertising the interview on social media since morning.

Obi’s Media Adviser, Valentine Obienyem said the interview had been postponed, but did not give a date when it would be aired.

“The Nigerian public and Nigeria-watchers should please note that the much talked-about CNN Interview with Mr. Peter Obi is not holding today.

“If and when such a forum will hold, Nigerians and all men & women of goodwill will be appropriately informed. Thank you,” he said.
