According to Ireporter Online, popular Nigerian cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has offered words of encouragement to Afrobeats sensation Davido following his loss at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

During a recent church service, Odumeje downplayed the significance of the Grammy Awards, emphasizing that Davido’s influence, career achievements, and global recognition far surpass any trophy. He described the singer as a rare talent whose impact on the music industry and connection with fans are accomplishments in their own right.

Odumeje advised Davido not to let disappointment or criticism affect his confidence, urging him to stay focused, seek new inspiration, and continue creating music that resonates with audiences worldwide. Davido was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards for his collaboration with Omah Lay, With You. Other nominees included Burna Boy, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, and Tyla, who won the award for the second consecutive year.
