Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Celebrates Maternal Love At PAFF

Nigerian screen icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, has unveiled her debut feature film, Mother’s Love, at the 34th edition of the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) in Los Angeles. According to industry reports, the film has also been showcased at major international platforms, including the Dubai International Film Festival, the Silicon Valley African Film Festival (SVAFF), the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

With over three decades of experience in Nollywood, Omotola’s latest project represents her first venture as a feature film producer. She described the film as “a gift to families,” reflecting her long-standing commitment to telling impactful stories.

The Los Angeles screening attracted notable figures, including Haitian actor and humanitarian Jimmy Jean-Louis, alongside diaspora creatives and key industry stakeholders.

The Lagos premiere of Mother’s Love is slated for March 1, 2026, followed by a nationwide theatrical release on March 6, 2026. The film explores themes of family, sacrifice, and the cost of love when power and fear intersect.
