Silekunola, along with Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat and Abdulahi Fasasi, faces charges including negligence and failure to provide adequate security. Despite their remand in prison, the Ooni stated that while the case is in the hands of the court, he continues to pray for her exoneration, affirming that her past efforts for children’s welfare were always well-intentioned and successful.
