In reaction to the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) last-minute withdrawal, Aiyedatiwa condemned it as an act of ‘cowardice’. He remarked, “For the PDP to pull out, that is cowardice. They participated in the process, and the ODIEC released the election timetable.” He questioned the reason behind their withdrawal, suggesting it could be due to fear of defeat.

Aiyedatiwa, who cast his vote at Polling Unit 5, Ugbo Ward 4, in Ilaje Local Government, emphasized the importance of the election for grassroots development.

In a similar vein, Deputy Governor Adelami, who voted at Unit 16, Igboroko 2, Ward 3, Owo Local Government, expressed satisfaction with voter turnout. He encouraged others to participate, highlighting the importance of local government in ensuring good governance at the grassroots level.
