Political Firestorm: Akume Denies Involvement In Alleged Media Plot Against Alia
In response, Akume’s spokesperson, Terrence Kuanum, dismissed these allegations, labeling them as a baseless attempt to tarnish Akume’s reputation. Kuanum emphasized that the SGF remains committed to providing strong leadership within the APC and continues to offer guidance in both Benue State and the North-Central region.
The forum, led by Saleh Zazzaga, accused Akume of using proxies to orchestrate these attacks, warning that continued friction could mirror the political fallout from former Governor Samuel Ortom’s departure from the APC. Despite the claims, Kuanum reaffirmed that Akume’s focus remains on fulfilling his responsibilities and leading the party, labeling the accusations as mere distractions from his ongoing work.
