According to Korkus, the reconciliation was facilitated by Senator Ned Nwoko, the husband of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. Tonto Dikeh and Prince Kpokpogiri had a tumultuous breakup in 2021, just a few months after publicly announcing their romantic involvement. Tonto Dikeh had alleged threats to her life during the fallout.

The intervention by Senator Ned Nwoko reportedly took place at his Abuja residence on Sunday, February 5, 2024. The influential figure pleaded with the former couple to set aside their differences and embrace friendship. In the spirit of reconciliation, Tonto Dikeh and Prince Kpokpogiri agreed, shaking hands and deciding to move forward as friends.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, social media critic VeryDarkMan has made claims linking Tonto Dikeh to the controversial and faceless blog, GistLover. He alleged that Tonto Dikeh released his pictures while he was in police custody and even posted them on GistLover. The police reportedly warned her to delete the pictures and refrain from sharing them on social media.

VeryDarkMan expressed his willingness to prove in a court of law that Tonto Dikeh is the individual behind GistLover, a blog known for its controversial and often critical content targeting celebrities. The social media critic had been invited by the police on accusations of defaming and bullying Tonto Dikeh and her colleague Iyabo Ojo but was later released after interrogation.
