According to Ireporter Online, Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Al Nassr’s training ground on Wednesday afternoon, arriving two hours ahead of the scheduled session, signaling a possible end to his recent absence from the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo, 40, was seen preparing for training ahead of Friday’s clash against Al Ettifaq. His recent absence from matches, including Al Nassr’s 20th-round encounter with Al Riyadh, had fueled speculation. Reports suggested the striker had declined to play following Karim Benzema’s high-profile transfer to league rivals Al Hilal, citing concerns over preferential treatment from Saudi authorities.

The situation has raised questions regarding fairness within the league and the influence of the Kingdom’s Ministry of Sport and private investors on club transfers. Al Nassr manager Jorge Jesus, who previously coached Al Hilal, has taken a cautious public stance, reflecting Ronaldo’s apparent frustrations.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal continue to bolster their squad, recently signing Benzema and Darwin Nunez, reportedly supported by billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Al Hilal’s transfer spending has now reached €647 million, compared with Al Nassr’s €410 million, highlighting a widening financial gap between the clubs.
