Sanwo-Olu Commends Marwa’s Legacy As He Marks 71st Birthday

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday congratulated the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd.), on his 71st birthday.

The Governor’s wishes were contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Sanwo-Olu on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, on Monday. 

Sanwo-Olu noted that Marwa contributed his quota to the growth and development of Lagos State.

While extolling his virtues, Sanwo-Olu described Marwa, who is one of his predecessors, as “An epitome of dedication, selflessness and discipline in public service.”

He also hailed the former Lagos State Military Administrator’s efforts in tackling transportation challenges amid the ever-increasing population of the state during his regime.  

The statement read, “Governor Sanwo-Olu praises the administrative prowess, loyalty and commitment of Gen. Marwa to the Nigerian project, describing him as an epitome of dedication, selflessness and discipline in public service.

“The Governor remembers with fondness how the former military administrator of Lagos State tackled the transportation challenge during his tenure and his efforts at bridging the housing deficit that reared its ugly head as a result of the ever-increasing population density of the State.

“Governor Sanwo-Olu, on behalf of his family, the Government and the people of Lagos State, wishes the former Military Administrator of Lagos, Brig. General Buba Marwa (retd.) a happy birthday, long life and sound health for him to contribute more towards nation building.”
