Separation Is Allowed” — Rudeboy Opens Up On Marriage To Ivy Ifeoma

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has opened up about finding the right partner in his wife, Ivy Ifeoma. In a candid interview with Clout Africa, he reflected on his journey through love, past heartbreaks, and what ultimately drew him to Ivy.

Rudeboy described marriage as enjoyable but emphasized that it should not be treated as a do-or-die commitment. “Marriage is fun, but not a do-or-die affair, and separation is allowed,” he stated, referencing lessons learned from his previous marriage to Anita Okoye, with whom he shares three children.

Following the end of that marriage, he explored relationships with three other women, but none fulfilled his expectations. He explained that he was searching for someone with whom he could find peace. “I was looking for someone with whom I could be at peace, and Ivy was that person,” he said, adding that she “was just her real self.”

Rudeboy recounted a defining moment early in their relationship that highlighted Ivy’s authenticity. While shopping, she selected only two clothes, noting that the same money could have purchased many more items at Tejuosho Market. “She was real,” he recalled.

The singer also discussed how past relationships shaped his music, revealing that some of his songs, including Reason With Me, were inspired by previous experiences. He further addressed a past legal issue with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), confirming that he has been cleared and a statement will be issued in due course.

Rudeboy is now married to Ivy Zenny, and the couple has one daughter together.
