Shaibu Warns Obaseki Of Exposing His Corruption And Wrongdoings In Edo State, If Insults Continue
Reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has issued a stern warning to Governor Godwin Obaseki, pledging to reveal alleged misconduct if the governor’s supporters continue to insult him. Shaibu, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this statement following a Sunday Mass at the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria in Auchi.
Shaibu expressed frustration over Obaseki’s actions, stating that his previous silence was mistaken for weakness. He threatened to expose several wrongdoings by the governor if the insults persist. The deputy governor accused Obaseki of undermining the principles of servant leadership, including conflicts with the church, unjust revocations of Certificates of Occupancy, and demolitions of opposition figures’ homes.
Shaibu also urged religious leaders to avoid politically motivated endorsements and to focus on justice and accountability. He called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to resist political influence and advocate for fairness in governance.
