Sh*cking Arrest: Police Catch Driver Carrying Suspected Human Parts On Lagos–Ibadan Expressway

According to Ireporter Online, operatives of the Oyo State command of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested a commercial vehicle driver after suspected human remains were discovered in his vehicle during a routine stop-and-search along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

The arrest occurred near the Guru Maharaji Village axis, a major transit corridor connecting South-West states. The suspect, identified as Kazeem Ayegbo, was intercepted by the Federal Highway Patrol while transporting passengers and luggage from Lagos to Osogbo.

DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the command’s Public Relations Officer, stated that the routine security check took a dramatic turn when officers uncovered a red cloth containing bones and other items suspected to be parts of a human corpse. The items had been carefully concealed among passengers’ luggage, prompting further suspicion over their origin and destination.

Investigation has commenced to determine the source and intended purpose of the recovered items, with efforts extending beyond Oyo State to identify and apprehend all individuals connected to the incident. The police confirmed that Ayegbo would be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The command further reassured the public of its commitment to sustained highway patrols and stop-and-search operations to curb criminal activities along major roads in the state.
