Pandemonium and Plunder Eyewitnesses, including Alhassan Abdullahi, recounted the harrowing ordeal as multiple trailers, en route from Abuja to Kaduna, fell victim to the audacious onslaught of the hoodlums. The perpetrators, seizing the opportunity, barricaded the road with burning tires, creating a blockade that halted the convoy of trucks.

Rampant Theft Amidst Turmoil Amidst the chaos, the hoodlums, undeterred by the presence of military personnel, embarked on a spree of looting, pilfering numerous bags of rice and cartons of spaghetti from the commandeered trailers. Despite the soldiers’ efforts to restore order by firing warning shots, the brazen thieves persisted in their pillaging, fleeing the scene with their ill-gotten gains.

Alarming Escalation The situation, already fraught with tension, took a further ominous turn as reports emerged of commercial motorcycle riders contemplating a protest. While their intended course of action remained unclear, the prospect of further unrest loomed large, exacerbating an already volatile situation.

Amidst the turmoil, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the precariousness of security and the urgent need for measures to safeguard vital supply chains from the clutches of criminal elements.
