Steps Ahead : Oshiomhole’s Visionary Leadership Energizes Edo North Residents Of Renewed Hope

Yes, the day of judgement is drawing near, when the people will choose who will represent them in various political offices for the next four years across the Nation.

Many factors will influence what will sway the electorate’s decisions.Popularity, antecedent matters, a wealthy political network, and so on are the primary factors required in abundance by the final winner.

Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, the deputy director general of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, is one individual who has renewed optimism among the people of Edo North.

Oshio Baba, as he is affectionately known by his admirers, has not only exceeded their expectations of a performer as an activist and executive Governor, but they also regard him as someone who can restart the wheel of progress, as he did as executive Governor of Edo State.

His after-office image is flawless, and his post-administration level has been outstanding, as he has never lost touch with his constituents, particularly in Edo North.

Oshiowonders can be defined as “Thank God,” a word we use in street slang to refer to a helper. When you see him or meet him, the first thing that comes to mind is to thank God.

His humanitarian efforts have been widely recognised both inside and outside of political office, and his candidature for senator has energised the people of Edo North, who are already hopeless after seven years of deprivation, despite the fact that the Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, is from Edo North.

It is shameful that more than 30 communities, including those in Etsako West and East, Philip Shaibu’s main electoral district, have been recognised as being without electricity for more than seven years.

The people have been in tears since Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s official exit and have vowed to reignite hope this time around, hence the demand on Adams Oshiomhole to represent them in the Senate in the first instance.

Due to his incapacity to address the floor of the house, the current senator, Francis Alimikhena, who has served two terms in the Red Chambers, is dubbed as the sleeping senator.

They allege that numerous things have happened right under his nose without his constituents benefiting, one of which is the transfer of a Federal University from Owan to Ebonyi State.

Even a child born today is aware of Oshiomhole, such is his unmatched fame that it can only be compared to a supernatural experience.

Adams Oshiomhole has made appearances at least twice in the past month and a half where Francis Alimikhena and Philip Shaibu were present.

My God, you should have seen the look of irritation on both Philip and Francis’ faces when Oshiomhole walked in at both occasions.

The first occurrence took place during the Agenebode festival, and even Philip Shaibu’s supporters were spotted getting carried away while embracing Adams Oshiomhole.

The second occasion was at the weekend during the dedication ceremony of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral and the 20th anniversary of the canonical creation of the diocese of Auchi.

Oshiomhole’s arrival was not only deafening, but also so loud that the ushers and priest had to beg the congregation to tone it down. The disappointment  on the faces of both Philip Shaibu and Francis Alimikhena were highly obvious, and their discomfort was clearly written on their faces.

Indeed, Adams Oshiomhole is well ahead of any other candidate in his campaign for Edo North Senatorial District; they can hardly see his brake lights, and this cannot be divorced from his visionary leadership.
