Supreme Court Affirms That Douglas Ogbankwa Is A Lawyer Duly Called To The Bar In Nigeria, Updates Its Records As Per Name-Change

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has on Thursday, 4th May stepped into the matter and clarifies every shadow of doubt that Mr. Douglas Ogbankwa was called to the Nigerian Bar and fit to practice law in Nigeria.

This is sequel to an allegation propagated by City Lawyers Blog that Mr. Douglas Ogbankwa, former NBA publicity Secretary of Benin Branch was not called to the Nigerian Bar Association and unfit to practice law.

The Supreme Court through a letter with reference No: SCN LIT./CN/0000210, has stated in unequivocal terms that Mr. Douglas change of name did not affect his call to the Nigerian Bar. The letter of the Supreme Court was signed by Mrs. Henrietta Aduwak Akyang Esq., and it stated that the Douglas Ogbankwa was called to bar in his former name of Douglas Aguguom and that he is one and the person.

This development lays to rest to the lies being spread around by some persons whose interests are unknown. Mr. Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., aside being a Lawyer is a writer and also a policy analyst.
