However, the Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the incident. Speaking to the press, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, disclosed that four suspects have been apprehended and are currently assisting with investigations.

Abutu further stated that the Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has ordered an extensive investigation, assigning the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to ensure the swift recovery of the missing child.

“The Commissioner of Police has mandated the State CID to carry out a comprehensive inquiry into the matter and bring all those involved to justice,” Abutu said. “So far, four individuals are in custody and have been providing vital information.”
