TeeBillz and Tiwa Savage tied the knot in 2013 but finalized their divorce in 2018 after multiple attempts to reconcile their differences.

In a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, TeeBillz reflected on his experience, drawing parallels between his past marriage and the ongoing separation between 2Baba and Annie Idibia.

“I Wasn’t Ready for Marriage”

TeeBillz confessed that he lacked the readiness and understanding needed to be a husband when he married Tiwa.

“When I got married to Tiwa, I had no real reason to get married because I wasn’t prepared for what it truly meant to be a husband,” he said.

He also highlighted the challenges of being in the entertainment industry, calling it a “toxic world” that contributed to their struggles. He likened their situation to that of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, noting that public perception often places blame without knowing the full story.

“They said I was the bad guy, but only Tiwa, God, and I know the truth. We loved each other but were stepping into the limelight without fully understanding what we were doing.”

Co-Parenting and Family Bond

Despite their divorce, TeeBillz emphasized the importance of co-parenting and maintaining a healthy relationship for the sake of their son.

“People took sides during our breakup, but where are they now? At the end of the day, we’re still family because our child binds us together. My son spends time with me and his siblings, and Tiwa and my daughter attend concerts together. Through everything, respect and love still remain because of our common goal—our child.
