Teen ‘Defiled’ By Doctor Testifies In Lagos Court

The court gallery was cleared yesterday as the 16-year-old girl accused of sexual abuse by Dr. Femi Olaleye, Director of Optima Cancer Care Foundation, testified before the Domestic Violence and Sexual Court.
Following an application by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Dr Jide Martins, journalists and others with no connection to the trial were ordered to leave the court.

The adolescent was brought to court behind closed doors, wearing a face mask to conceal her identity.

Dr Olaleye is being tried for “unlawful sexual intercourse and sexual assault by penetration with his manhood”

Mrs Aderemi Fagbemi Olaleye, the defendant’s wife, testified in court on Monday about how her husband allegedly defiled her 16-year-old niece, who was adopted after her parents died.

Following an application by the prosecuting counsel, Dr Martins, the girl testified behind closed doors at the resumption of the hearing before Justice Ramon Oshodi yesterday.

The bail amount was reduced from N50 million to N40 million, with two sureties in the same amount.
