The Implications Of Peter Obi’s Visit To Femi Kuti And Why The Obidient Family Must Learn from This

The internet is currently abuzz with photographs of Afrobeat legend and CEO of Afrika Shrine Femi Kuti with the presidential candidate of the labor party, Mr Peter Obi.
The visit, which comes just days after the afrobeat King spoke about why he can’t be Obidient, is currently gaining a lot of attention online. Peter Obi went to see Femi Kuti in the company of the Area Fada, Charly Boy.
What are the ramifications of this August visit, and why is it critical for Peter Obi supporters to recognize Peter Obi’s humility?
Femi Kuti is first and foremost from a radical family that doesn’t give a damn about the ruling class. In reality, he released a second video after the first in which he declared that he does not support any of the presidential candidates because they are all the same to him.
Peter Obi’s visit to Femi, which has now turned the musician into an Obidient fellow, demonstrates the LP presidential candidate’s wisdom and humility.
When I saw a video of the afrobeat superstar lamenting that Peter Obi followers are threatening to burn down the African Shrine because he referred to them as zombies, it broke my heart.
Femi doesn’t really deserve such negative comments or a venomous attack since he has refuted the accusations that he called them zombies.
Peter Obi’s example has demonstrated how humility can go a long way toward gaining someone’s trust, so his supporters should do the same and take their principal’s lead.
In politics, not everyone who appears to be opposed to your goals or who is undecided is your enemy; in fact, if managed well, they might even be an advocate for your brand. Peter Obi has demonstrated unequivocally that he is a leader capable of uniting the nation.
He has proved that if he is elected President, he will be tolerant of competing viewpoints from critics, and he has demonstrated that anything they hurl at you should not get to you.
Buhari’s administration, which is notoriously intolerant, has not moved the country forward with such acts of intolerance.
Today, Peter Obi has demonstrated that he is not a tribal or religious bigot, but rather a father to the Nation. The Obidient family requires the assistance of every Nigerian to overthrow the APc’s retrogressive administration, and only support from friends and foes can accomplish that goal.
If we truly want to save our nation from these locusts eating deep into our shared inheritance, we must be tolerant and reach out to everyone so that we might all become Obident.
Peter has demonstrated that he carries no grudges, and this is what all Peter Obi supporters must remember: Nigerians are not the problem; the selfish recycled leaders who have failed to raise the country out of poverty are the common enemy we face, not the victims of their draconian tyranny.
