There Are Plans To Cause Chaos – DSS Speaks

According to the Department of State Services (DSS), there are “orchestrated plans” by some individuals to cause a total breakdown of law and order and disrupt scheduled elections in parts of the Federation.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya warned individuals or groups, no matter how powerful, to abandon such plans.

As a result, the secret service warned political actors to be law-abiding as Nigerians go to the polls for governorship and state assembly elections.

The DSS stated that it is dedicated to the safety and security of citizens who wish to exercise their civic responsibility.

“All and sundry are, therefore, enjoined to abide by the rules of engagement particularly the Electoral Act and extant guidelines,” the statement added.
