In a recent announcement, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, disclosed that the Nigeria Air Force has acquired an additional 45 aircraft, helicopters, and various platforms from the Federal Government within the last six months.

These assets are intended to bolster the NAF’s efforts in combating bandits and terrorist groups throughout the country.

During his visit to the North-Western region, Abubakar celebrated Christmas alongside the frontline troops of Air Component Operation Hadarin Daji and 213 Forward Operating Base.

He expressed gratitude for the military aircraft received, which include four Diamond, 62 multipurpose aircraft, two T129 attack helicopters, and one Beechcraft 360 aircraft.

Additionally, Abubakar highlighted upcoming acquisitions, such as two Kasa 295 medium airlift surveillance aircraft, 12 AH10 Attack helicopters, and 24 M346 attack aircraft.

Emphasizing the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to equip the Nigerian Air Force for effective training and addressing security challenges, Abubakar commended the recent efforts of the troops in the region.

He also paid tribute to the fallen heroes who have made ultimate sacrifices in defense of the country, assuring that their contributions will always be remembered.
